These are the general Terms and Conditions for business for Svāsthya Traditional Ayurvedic Healing. 

Summary of Terms and Conditions

• Treatment Duration: the duration reflects the total booking time, which includes consultation and preparation. It does not represent the hands-on treatment time exclusively.
• New Client Consultation: all first-time clients must complete a confidential consultation form before their initial treatment.
• Online Booking Confirmation: massage appointments booked online will be confirmed via WhatsApp message to ensure accuracy and convenience.
• Missed Appointments: a 100% fee will apply for missed massage appointments. Payment is required via cash or bank transfer.
• Gift Voucher Policy: standard cancellation terms apply to all bookings made with gift vouchers.
• Refunds: are not available for services that have already been provided.
• Age Requirements: clients must be 18 years or older. Treatments for children or infants are only offered with a legal guardian present throughout the session.

The Business

Svāsthya Traditional Ayurvedic Healing (Tina Maisuria-Longland) offers a range Ayurvedic treatments. 

With formal training in the traditional disciplines of Ayurvedic Massage and Aromatherapy, and certification as a Master of Herbs and Spices and Alternative Healing Therapy, I offer integrative treatments rooted in ancient healing systems. Each session incorporates a bespoke combination of traditional massage oils, 100% pure essential oils, and freshly ground Ayurvedic herbs, meticulously blended in-house to optimise therapeutic efficacy.

All products used in my practice are of the highest quality, ethically sourced, and rigorously quality controlled. Ingredients are selected by hand and imported directly from trusted suppliers in India and Sri Lanka.

At Svāsthya, my commitment is to deliver exceptional care rooted in both tradition and innovation. As a qualified massage therapist, I draw upon generations of family knowledge in traditional Indian techniques, seamlessly blended with contemporary methods and trends. This integrative approach allows me to craft bespoke treatments tailored to your unique needs, ensuring you receive the highest standard of holistic care.

Each session is grounded in extensive research and enriched by my personal experience. Guided by the principles of Ayurveda, I begin by assessing your mind-body constitution (dosha) through a brief questionnaire. From there, I customize your massage and select therapeutic products designed to restore balance, promote vitality, and support your body’s natural harmony.

All treatments are offered at my Amanpuri (‘place of peace’ garden studio) at 42 Davy Avenue, Micklefield, Leeds, LS25 4FF. 

Copies of professional qualifications and insurance documentation are available upon request and are also displayed within the studio for your convenience.

Bookings 

Appointments can be made via WhatsApp at 07814 005741 or through our online booking system at www.svasthya.co.uk. All bookings will be confirmed by message.

Svāsthya Traditional Ayurvedic Healing reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments. Should this occur, clients will be contacted promptly to discuss alternative arrangements.

Please note - treatment durations refer to the total appointment time, which may include consultation and preparation, not solely hands-on therapy.

Late Bookings

We do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, though availability cannot be guaranteed. If you require a short-notice appointment, please contact Tina Maisuria-Longland as soon as possible. 

Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. To ensure fairness and sustainability, the following cancellation terms apply:

• 12–24 hours’ notice: 50% of the treatment fee will be charged.
• Less than 12 hours’ notice or non-attendance: full payment is required via cash or bank transfer.

This policy reflects the limited opportunity to rebook cancelled slots and the potential loss of other client bookings.

Svāsthya Traditional Ayurvedic Healing also reserves the right to cancel or amend bookings at short notice. If rescheduling is not possible, clients will be notified immediately.

Gift Vouchers

Standard cancellation terms apply to appointments booked using gift vouchers. Clients may reschedule voucher-based treatments with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Client Information

At Svāsthya Traditional Ayurvedic Healing, your personal information is treated with the utmost confidentiality. It is used exclusively for the purpose of providing our services and will never be shared with third parties. Occasionally, we may use your details to inform you about offerings that align with your wellness journey. If you prefer not to receive such updates, simply let us know and we’ll promptly remove you from our mailing list.

If concerns arise during a treatment, please let us know, your comfort is our priority, and we will do our best to resolve the issue immediately.

Extent of Liability

Before your first treatment, you’ll be asked to complete a Consultation Form. This ensures we tailor your care appropriately. Once consent is given, Svāsthya Traditional Ayurvedic Healing cannot be held liable for any adverse reactions, contraindications, or injuries resulting from treatment.

• Aftercare guidance will be provided during or after each session.
• We cannot accept responsibility for circumstances beyond our control.
• We rely on clients to disclose relevant health information; failure to do so may affect treatment outcomes, for which we cannot be held accountable.

Code of Conduct

To maintain a safe and respectful environment, we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if a client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol or behaves inappropriately. In such cases, full payment is still required, and no refund will be issued.

Massage therapy may not be suitable for everyone. Potential contraindications will be discussed during your initial consultation and reassessed as needed throughout your treatment plan.

Please note:

• Massage therapy is not a replacement for medical diagnosis or care.
• You should continue attending all appointments with your GP or healthcare provider.
• Do not discontinue any prescribed medication or treatment without first consulting your medical professional.

Our therapies are designed to complement, not replace, conventional medical care. Always consult your GP or a healthcare professional for medical attention and advice. 

What to expect after treatment

Following deep tissue massage therapy, it’s completely normal to experience temporary muscle soreness, mild aching, or occasional localized bruising. These sensations are a natural response to the therapeutic work on your skin, muscles, tendons, and ligaments, and typically ease as your body begins its recovery and healing process.

My commitment to you

Your wellbeing is my priority. I will always be honest and transparent with you, especially if I believe that massage therapy may not be appropriate for your current condition. Your safety and comfort guide every decision I make.

Confidentiality & Privacy

By receiving treatment, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your personal information will be stored securely and treated with strict confidentiality.
• No details will be shared with third parties unless you have given prior written consent, for example, in cases of professional referral.
• You will provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding any changes to your medical treatments, as these may affect the suitability or safety of massage therapy.

Terms and Conditions Acknowledgement

By booking and attending a treatment with Svāsthya Traditional Ayurvedic Healing, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms and Conditions outlined. Participation in any therapy is entirely voluntary and undertaken with the understanding that you accept and will adhere to these terms.

Svāsthya Traditional Ayurvedic Healing reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be communicated via email.
